We are an international team of students, researching what a commercially and journalistically sustainable magazine that is targeted at millennials could look like. Over the semester, we will be dealing with questions such as:

  • how can we transform a print magazine to an online environment so as to reach a new audience?
  • who exactly are the millenials, how do you reach them, how do you engage them in the production, like with curation, for example?
  • what themes are right for our target audience, based on the domain our client, WPG, publishes magazines in?
  • can open up these different ‘domains’ and use all content ‘horizontally’?
  • how do we navigate developments such as ad blockers and native advertising when it comes to business models?
  • in what way can we use new forms of journalism, like automated content, data journalism, video etc?
